The 3500HP 55 Chevy of Sarmento Race Cars

The 1955 Chevy street outlaw car built by Wade Ramsey of Sarmento Race Cars of Yuba City, CA produces a stunning 3500 horsepower. With over 800 hours going into the build, it not only was featured at this year’s SEMA show but won a coveted “Mother’s Choice Award”.

The “55 Chevy” features an Alan Johnson 481x engine with an F-3X 143 mm procharger built by Pro Line Racing Engines. The engine is also fully plumbed with Phenix fittings. “I’d like to say thank you to Phenix Industries for producing such high quality products. Phenix Industries will be my go to choice for future builds” said Wade Ramsey.

“It was my first time attending the SEMA show and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. There was a lot of interest in the 55 build. Four days of people stopping by Procharger’s booth to check out the car and ask questions. I think a majority of the cast of Street Outlaws stopped by to have a look at the car” said Wade.

Co owners Jerry Jahnsen and Thomas R. Lincoln Jr. can’t wait to get the car out on the track, and we can’t wait to see it either.
